SD/TA Piping Planner/Scheduler
·
Using
client provided Piping Isometric drawings, I calculated all man-hour’s
required to fabricate, test and install the piing spools for the April 2015
Heater Piping Upgrade SD/TA Tie Ins. I also created a BOM per piping
Isometric drawing, along with a stepped out plan of activities needed to
install each line.
·
I then
assisted a Sr. P6 Scheduler in building a Level 1, P6 based rough schedule
for the Tie In work required during the TAR phase of this project using the
information I had accumulated from the drawings and various walk thru’s
with the contractor already engaged with performing the TA work.
·
Again using
client provided Piping Isometric drawings, I calculated all man-hour’s
required to fabricate, test and install the piing spools for the concurring
April-October 2015 Exchanger Modules Piping Upgrade project. I created a
BOM per piping Isometric drawing for this project as well, along with a
Man-hour total and step out package for each Line to be erected.
·
Using my
Level 1 schedule, I added the second TA to it and I helped the scheduler to
perform the necessary logic ties and manipulated the milestone Activities
to complete this schedule in the timeframe that my contract was negotiated
for.
·
I was given
a clean ROF after successfully completing this project.

SD/TA Planner
·
Planned various
work packages included in the March 2015 Refinery SD/TA in the Area 426A
Vacuum Unit. Planned the activities and man-hours for the Tube replacement,
I&E upgrades, and burner replacement work on the HF-0011 Vacuum Heater
utilizing Turner Industries Quick Plan estimating software package.
·
Assisted
QAQC Department by performing walk thru’s on work packages to capture new
work done during PRE-T/A phase that could possibly be signed off as
COMPLETE by Plant Operations.
·
Due to
Turner Group’s corporate policy concerning third party access to their
company data bases, my position ultimately was eliminated after a two
week period when it was deemed by upper corporate management that company
policy specified that I could not have the access, that I needed to
perform the full scope of my SD/TA duties.
·
I received
a clean, reduction in force lay off and all demobilization monies I had in
my contract, with an apology from the site management who had hired me, for
my troubles.

Jr. Scheduler
.
·
I was
tasked with assembling relevant equipment data used in creating standard
work packages to relieve the backlog of Relief Valve Compliance PPM’s found
within the Hydro Power South, North and Utilities areas at the BP Whiting
refinery. I performed this work utilizing SAP inside a computer based maintenance
system. I completed this task successfully and my contract was extended
thru the end of the 2014 calendar year.
·
Personally
walked out and estimated/planned routine maintenance work and built work
packages containing BOMs, P&IDs, pictures of the work being
anticipated, MSDS’s, and previous Inspection reports. Worked with the union
workforce supervisors to help define 2 month look ahead work schedules to
perform the work included in my packages. In the process of doing this, I
made notes on deficiencies I had found pertaining to relief valve status,
its physical location, and whether or not they were still in place or had
been removed from service for a wide variety of reasons after the plant had
went thru a major renovation during the 2009-2013 time period.
·
I sent this
information up to BP operations/ management, who then directed me as to
whether I should deactivate or flag these valves for deletion in the active
SAP work schedule. During this process I reviewed and corrected any/all
resource code errors contained in the Work Plans and or active Maintenance
Orders at the request of the Scheduling Department.
·
Developed
and implemented routine naming conventions for all the work orders found
within SAP pertaining to my areas of responsibilities in the various
Hydropower operations units.
·
Upon
completing the Relief Valve Project, I was similarly tasked to work on the
backlog of Pump Repair PPM’s in both the APS and FCU Complexes at this same
refinery, again tasked with implementing revised routine naming conventions
for all the work orders found within SAP pertaining to my new areas of
responsibility in both the APS and FCU operations units.
·
I
successfully completed this last task and was informed that my last work
day onsite would be 12/19.2014.
